I don't think so, but it isn't out of the option. I have already had the event sanctioned and not sure how hard it is to change the format. It will also depend on the interest there is in having a final 9. (we would have a SWEET 9 to let them battle it out on though!)
ps The alternate holes for the lake course are spray painted in orange paint if anyone is interested in walking the course.

Should be noted that the added cash will be divided amongst all open divisions based on the number of entries in the division...
IE: 20 open, 10 open masters, and 10 women open entrants. In this case, 50% will go to the open, 25% to the open masters, and 25% to the women. Hope this makes sense.
We will be starting fundraising soon and will keep the info posted...

But the Final 9 is an awesome showcase of talent!! The Lake Shawnee course(s) offer a great opportunity for some creative Safari holes...both long and short. Sorry, thumbs up here (IFF I get a vote)...though I understand your trip home is quite a bit further than mine.scarpfish wrote:Considering its a B-Tier, I say thumbs down on a Final 9.

As far as a final 9... Considering we won't finish our 4th round until approx. 3-4, it might get kind of late to do a final 9 and awards for those with a long commute. I agree that it would be fun to watch and would have a SWEET course to watch on, but as for now... there is no final 9.

I agree, but I think showcases should be reserved for top tier events (A-tier and higher) where a large gallery is to be expected. A lot of folks want to play their rounds, see their final position and if they cashed, collect their prizes if any, and head home. It takes long enough for the TD and staff to compute and verify the scores as it is, especially when you're talking about 75+ entrants.doc wrote:But the Final 9 is an awesome showcase of talent!!scarpfish wrote:Considering its a B-Tier, I say thumbs down on a Final 9.
Bren, I think I will be attending.

Re: LSDiscs MIGHTY SHUNGA OPEN (SEPT 22-23) B-TIER ($1000+ C
Sorry about the confusion... I just realized that the Open Division showed as $80. All open divisions are $70, or $65 with a current pdga membership. Sorry about the confusion.carlbren21 wrote:
