Ace Race in Valley Center, Saturday, 10/27/07

Saturday, October 27th:
One Disc Ace Race
McLaughlin Park, Valley Center
(From I-135 N., take 85th St West. Just a couple blocks into town, take McLaughlin St. 2 blocks north to course parking lot)
Starts at 10:00 a.m.

Cost is $20 and includes two discraft prototype discs, a hat, full color mini, and entry to the ace race competition where everyone competes for a grand prize of over $300 in merchandise
Format is 4 rounds of 9 short holes. Most aces wins. Most metal hits will break any ties.
Possible doubles competition after ace race.

We bought 20 packs. If more than 20 people show, players can sell one of their discs for $10. Should be a good time. Open to ideas for lunch.

Sold 4 packs and have 4 reserved. 12 up for grabs.

I was thinking that we would do lunch. Should we do it between rounds? I think this will go pretty quick, so maybe we should do it afterwards and come back to play doubles?

i think league should put in $50 of our ace pot but not all of it cause the holes will be so short.

The league did put up the money to buy the packs.

The ace fund will not be in play for the ace race but will be for the membership drive. I will tell you that the prize for winning the ace race is huge. I think we should split it between first and second place. What do you guys think?

Anyone live in Valley Center area? Where should we do lunch?

Not too many places likely to get an actual ace. But if you get one, it'd be nice to get something. I'm just thinking there is enough stuff here for 2 places easy! Here is what we have. All above 170g....

7 Z discs.
4 ESP discs.
3 FLX discs.
Black Discraft Towell.
Green Ace Race Golf Bag.

We could give the winner the bag and the towell and the first pick in a pick off for the 14 discs (7 to first, 7 to 2nd).
