Mike ran event
Stone Creek Park
16 players
Random draw dubs w/ strokes for ams
Bill and Chad: -7
3 teams tied at -6
It was a great time. We all had fun playing this totally new layout.
The one hole that wasn't new (other than the basket) was hole 1. Rang up an ace for $129. That made up for some bad throws! This was the same hole that a guy named Pat from Derby hit an ace on for $750 several years ago.

And nice 3 you and Jason made on that long muther down the road. That hole turned out just as fun as I thought it would. The only thing forgiving about that hole is that the trees are so thick that they usually kick you back onto the middle of the road.
Hole 3 was my other favorite. I think another tree has to come out so that people are encouraged to play the hole as its meant to be. Right now its aim at the trees above the basket. Over the top will remain a route regardless. I didn't see that hole get 3'd, though I'm sure it probably did a few times.
Can't wait to see the rest of the course get installed!

No you dont need to bring a partner. We usually flip to see who gets paired with who.
Flipping is done by every body flipping a disc. Heads go one wy tails go the other and keeps going down till you get matched with a like flip. Kinda hard to explain without seeing it happen.

Nice to hear from ya Ron.
I won't be able to run league this Saturday. I'll be working. Last weekend, Travis said he would do it. He hasn't contacted Bob for keys to the clubhouse yet, but I imagine he will still run it.
By the way, despite the new printed schedule, the last 5 league events have been doubles. You could do doubles again, but it would work better if you played singles and then followed the schedule from there. Also, for the handicaps, I update them after every single singles league event. For just this one time, the handicaps posted on the bulletin board are accurate, so you can use them.

Mike ran event
Newton course
Pin config: ?
Short tee on hole 4.
15 players
2 inches of snow on the ground melting to slush by the end of the round
Brandon and Amanda: -8-2=-10
Ben Maass and Bo Carrasco: -10+3=-7
Brandon was the only local to show us how it was done, but he did just that. It had been too long since I had been out there. They have cut a ton of trees out there, making the course more managable, especially for the summer months. There are just a lot of cool holes out here! I was trying to arrange a day that would be likely to be dry. As opposite to dry as it was, I thought the course was less muddy than I remembered it being.
Ace fund back over $250.
