2008 Discs Unlimited Open

Post by discunlm »

It's that time of the year again so plan on playing some golf in Herington.
We strongly recommend pre-registering this year because we had to turn people away last year. There is a 100 player limit. Players package to first 70 players to register.

Paying at time of Pre-registration costs $5 less than day of the tourney. Any player that pays at pre-registration and can't make it to the tourney will be reimbursed with their choice of tourney discs.

Tourney discs available are Super Color Z Buzzz, Star Ontario Rocs, DX San Marino Rocs, and Champion Destroyers.

KDGA fee and Ace fund included in all divisions except the Am Womens and High School divisions unless you want to opt out of the ace fund which will be $2 less than quoted prices.

Tee time is 10:00 am. Sunday April 6th, 2008 at Father Padilla Park Herington, Kansas

Go to www.discsunlimited.net, call or email to pre-register.
First price listed by each division is the preregistered price.

Open Division- $40/45
Pro Masters- $30/35
Pro Grand Masters- $25/30
Pro Women- $25/30

Am Masters -$25/30
Am 1(advanced)- $25/30
Am 2 (beginners)- $20/25
Am Women- $20/25
High School-$10/15

Check in upon arrival to pick up players pack and fill out a score card.

Lunch will be provided for a nominal fee by the local church youth group.

Call 785-258-2494, 866-867-7815 toll free, email discsunlimited@sbcglobal.net, or visit www.discsunlimited.net

Make sure to check in at the Mace Man van during lunch. We should have the KDGA shirts and a "special KDGA goodie" for 08.

We are still working on a disc, so we will get you a throwing toy when we get them.

They cap the event at 100 players (only 1 course of 20 holes). This is one event I know that fills up every year. Sign up in advance or at least call Dennis to let him know you are coming.

Dennis,

I would like to reserve my spot, but I dont know if I will be able to make it up there or not for sure yet. I might need to come back to wichita after MIO for a family gathering but I wont know for sure until the last minute because I am not the one planning the gathering. I would just like to know that my spot is available if I am available to go. I should be able to let you know for sure on saturday at the MIO.

The website says "If you pre pay you will get a tourney disc instead of a refund".

You also need to contact Dennis, I don't think he spends much time on here.

What tipped you off? Was it the ten posts in four years?

He is very quick by email though, yesterday he returned my email in less than ten minutes!

Could somebody put the directions to the course on here?

They are not on the main site or the PDGA Course Directory

Anybody know if there are plans for an Intermediate division? If not, then what should an average-skill Intermediate player sign up for?
