We need to figure out a way to raise money for our club through league but we are worried some of the locals that play won't want to pay $4 + $1 optional ace. Right now we just play for $3 + $1 for optional ace. We were thinking maybe just take a little each time from the payout. For example, tonight we had 12 people - 12 x $3 = $36 for payout. Maybe put $6 to the club and first gets $10 and second gets $5. Any suggestions? What does your local club charge and how much goes to club, payout, and ace? Any input is appreciated.

Our league is $5 -

I believe $1 of that goes to the club - ( if there are 6 or more players )

With $1 going into the ace fund.

Leaving $3 per person going into the prize pool.

So, if you upped your "fee" to $5, your payout would remain the same, but you would have dough to put toward the club.

I'm thinking that if your members realized how much that extra dollar could do for them, they would gladly supply it.

Haha yeah. Hopefully I can remember to post these after each of our league nights from now on. I hope you can make it back to play Emporia league again sometime soon. We play at Jones on Tuesdays, Peter Pan on Wednesdays, and the Middle School on Thursdays. Attendance has been a little low lately. Are you going to the KCWO?
