Doubles was fun. Jim and I shot -11 and missed putts on the other 2( holes 1 and 12) If anyone else needs the lessons, get a hold of me after the tourney, or after Wellington.

Mike,

I can probably hook you up with a couple of files both Herman and Oak. With all the tees and basket locations on them. My map guy charges around $50 a course give or take. My course was pretty simple 13 tees 13 baskets. The more things you add to the course, the more it may cost you. It would be pretty sweet to have the maps for both of your courses. If you want the connection, let me know.

OK people, here is the plan.

1) Soak in the shower for at least 30 minutes. :D
2) Upload all the scores into the PDGA and KDGA.
3) Write a short summary of the tourney today.
4) Sleep like a baby. 8)

Here are you results. When I upload them to PDGA. Any player that played AM3/Rec that doesn't have a PDGA number will not be included. That saved all you guys $10 and saved me $10 bones. If you do have a PDGA #, I will change you to AM2. That should give you 3 round ratings for the event.

I want to thank all the players that came and spent the entire day in Winfield. This was honestly the best event that I have hosted. All the players were awesome to each other, supported each other, and really seemed to have a great time. I was concerned about the time in between the rounds, but as it played out we all just hung out under the big shade tree and supported the other pool as they battled both the course and the heat. As for the course, if you have an idea or complaint. Please post it here or PM me. I want this event to grow to an event that people look forward to each and every year. Next I would like to thank all the people who helped out the two days before the event and during the event.

Twitch- Dude thanks for being out there all day long 2 days before the event and then beingM the last person to leave the course because we stayed and picked up all the extra things at the course.

Tyson- You were really a HUGE help on Thursday pounding stakes, mowing the island, and laying out all the string. Then your dad hooking us up with several cases of water and ice was much appreciated by all the players on the course.

SNG- We couldn't have had the sweet "bamboo" hole and hole 2 with out your fence. Plus the 24 pounds of beef that we turned into Sloppy Joes got munched on all day long. Your sound system, help setting up the courses, and all the little things you did and added really helped push this tourney over the top.

Shan Mann- Dude you can pound a post into the ground! Thanks for all the work you did on Friday and the use of your baskets. It is KICK BUTT to have you back on the scene in the valley, we have really been missed you. Congrats on the big win also!!!!!

Med. Kev and Kindy- Thanks for all of your efforts on the scores. It really helped to have you guys there to add organize and punch scores into the computer.

Cody and Colton- It was very helpful of you guys to go out in the park after spending the entire day there and clean/pick it all up.

Mike D- You did a killer job of getting people to buy raffle tickets and anything else that was asked of you today.

I am sure I am missing someone. If that is you, sorry and thanks for your help. It is AWESOME when a great group of golfers from a little place like the valley can pull together and create a great tournament experience for so many people. I am really proud and honored to call my self a Valley Boy and you all should be as well. W.V.D.G.A.

Finally! Thanks to all you guys and gals who bought tickets or donated to the Ben Karr and LeAnne Raffle. Most of you have no idea who the dude is. It didn't matter and this will mean so much to both of them and your family. The money will help, but knowing that so many people, many that don't even know you, want to do what they can to help out. To me this was really the highlight of the event. Every single time someone would buy $10 worth of tickets or a single ticket, I said thanks and I appreciate it. I meant those words. Thanks to all of the generosity, we were able to raise $442 and that kicks ASS!

Thanks again to all that were involved with this event!

Smitty man what a awesome tourney I had a awesome time helping you out last couple of days, I am glad that everybody made use of the water, man it was hot out there. Only thing I was disappointed in was that I finish second I could of taken first left a couple of shots out there but overall what a awesome course. Another thing to add this is the best I have finish a tournament sense I have been playing, I will get my win sooner or later. One more thing is there any way you could get some more t-shirts made up? I know a couple of people wanting one.

Something about Smitty and a microphone just go hand in hand......
To all those who weren't in the Valley on Saturday, YA'LL MISSED OUT!!!
This event was so fun!!!!!
The golf course was KILLER and the funnest part of the day was in between the pools' rounds we all got out our lawn chairs, camped under a huge shade tree, shared war stories from the course, maybe shared a "pop" or two and rooted on the other pool while they played. It was a really awesome way to spend an insanely hot day. Not to mention we raised a bunch of caish for a fellow disc'er in need!

All in all it was one of the most memorable tourneys I've ever attended and you can COUNT on all 3 Unruh's to be at what is sure to become a staple on the Oz tour in future Cherry St Championships!!!!!!!!!!
