I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times.

Well I watched it. I'm baffled. Not only will I not be competing against top pros, I'm competing for just a trophy that says I'm the greatest sandbagger of them all.

I don't think you are competing for the biggest sandbagger. That is a title for a person who should move up but doesn't, because they are afraid they will not cash at every event.

You are competing for the title of the person who can play under pressure and blow their rating out of the water. If you play as good as you did at the GBO, I am thinking you have a chance at winning.

DD will also be running a side bet event that will play out like a normal tourney.

Just a little dissapointed now.

Should be good exposure though, maybe.

I would concede my chance to anyone serious about going. Enticing when considering this might be my one chance to play this, but it's a big commitment.

I've been sandbagging my rating, but it needs to be a bit lower. I think I can shoot +50 over my current rating. I'm in only if no one else will go.

I'll throw this out there. Saw Smitty's post, and I'd definitely like to make the trip, and pretty positive I can do it. If there's a spot available, count me in! Wanted to play that course for a while now!

I'd be interested. I've always wanted to play that course and check it out.

I offered the Rep. spot to a KC guy, Joe Hesting. I felt like Joe earned the spot by playing in all regions of Kansas, being active in his local club, being active in the Kansas Disc Golf Association, and just being an overall stand-up dude.

Joe had to refuse the spot, because of other more important things in life. I give him even more respect for doing that, instead of putting DG at the top of the list.

I have had the job of selecting a Rep. for several years. I have tried playing for it. I have attempted to keep players stats and give it to a person based on play over most of the disc golf season. I have had a vote among the Kansas Regional Representatives in the KDGA.

This year the criteria I am using is simple. Does the person promote DG on a local level? Does the person promote DG across the State of Kansas? Is the person going to be a stand-up representative in Rock Hill.

With all that said, I will select a new Rep. by the end of the week.

Made my final pick today.

Chris Tyler will get the chance to participate in the "Championships" and represent Kansas.

Chris is very active in his local DG community in both Course development, running events, and playing leagues. He is also active state wide playing and sponsoring events both PDGA and KDGA. Chris has played disc golf events in all regions of the state. His current player rating is sub 900 and he can play above that each round at the "Championships".

Good luck SNG!

Thanks, Smitty.

I am very honored to be selected to represent Kansas during this year's USDGC. This will be a great challenge, and with this years format, I really feel like I have a very good chance to beat my projected score. Look out for Kindy and I at the top of the leader boards come October!!
