As this is a two day event, I bet this will knock down the numbers a bit. Not everyone can play disc golf all weekend.

The (small) problem with playing a different course for one round would be the changes made to the pins for each round. I guess you just wouldn't want to split the divisions.

If a couple of additional holes aren't possible (I wouldn't sacrifice the quality of the rest of the holes), and you KNOW there are going to be more than 90 players, I'd say this would be the best option.

Wish I could make it. Missed the last couple of years and really planned to make it this year. However, I have a job that has to be done this weekend. Too important not to do it. Have fun and will be thinking about the good times I am missing all weekend while I am working. For those that have never played the Rock, you will be glad you went.

I think the easiest way to solve that problem is just not move the baskets.

Find the best location for the baskets and leave them there all weekend.

Seems like you gotta mix it up a little. No tournament plays the exact same course for 4 rounds.

Which holes move? Hole 1, 2, 4, 7?, 9, 11, 13?, 16?

The classic long middle position is the best for hole 1.

You gotta love the basket on top for hole 2. The one on the bottom should be an auto-duece, but it isn't.

I liked all 4 of 4's placements last year. The long one in the corner was the best though.

Hole 7 used to have a long middle and shorter left position. We just used the right position last year. If across the street is OB, the right might be just as good as the middle placement.

I liked the placement near the road and the tree the best for hole 9. The one way at the top was pretty good too.

I like the placements across the street better for hole 11. The short mixes it up for one round though and isn't bad seeing it is so close to the road. I'd really like to see the old placement in the middle of the 4 poles to the far left. Might be too close to 12's tee?

I've seen 13 move before. Seems like it should stay long middle.

Hole 16 has a great placement right after the creek. How crazy would an on top of the dike par 4 be?

If the old cliff shot was doable, two extra holes could follow it. One on the dike and one to the island. Another idea for an extra hole might be splitting 16 into two holes, starting and ending farther down on both sides. Lots of room over by hole 8 and 9 closer to the river, but don't know if they could be good holes without changing the current holes.

Looks like they're forecasting some serious wind for Saturday. That should make the cliff shots interesting.

I know this is coming from someone who has no chance of making it to the tournament, but why do you need to change it up? It's kansas! What are the odds that the weather will be the same 2 days in a row? If the wind is blowing hard one day and not the next, it's pretty much like playing 2 different courses.

Weather forcast.

Saturday: Windy with times of sun and clouds. Highs in the upper 70s and lows in the low 60s.
Sunday: Scattered thunderstorms possible. Highs in the low 70s and lows in the upper 40s.

Not to worry about the weather.

My 2 cents: People come to the Rock to play the Rock, not Lakewood. We can play Lakewood the other 364 days of the year.

Personally, I think it'd be great to see the 18 (or 20 if possible) holes @ the Rock, and limit the # of players.

But... I'm playing either way!

Are there any baskets at the Rock now? If not, what time will it be playable?

Here is a map for the Rock.

We will be using the South side of Lakewood if needed so don't worry about this tournament filling.
