Thanks to everyone who came out.

We played 11 holes twice and counted them all as par 3. So we all played par 66. I would say that par was more like 72 for the 11 holes we played. All 3 except for the Water hole, and the hole before the water hole, and the hole just after crossing the road.

It is Dude!

I already told you, contact Kyle Klinger. I can tell you now, you are not going to get a thread until you have a course.

Thanks to Shan and Monster D for helping set up and clean up the course. Thanks to all the Winfield and Wichita boys (Fagans included) that made it down.

See you in Wellington as soon as you have a course.

Pecker Woods got the quarters. They will come in handy if he goes to and arcade in the next few days.

Good thinking. If Monster D woulda cashed, I would've said give some to him so he can make a few extra call's to try and find someone with bail money.

LMAO,

Great turn out; I think everyone had a great time. Every time I turned around I heard SPLASH! Smooth and I counted about 25 discs or so that are in the drink. I guess that is why the make new ones.

Lizard - let us know when the water goes down, I have one close to the bank that I think will show up eventually. Also, if you are out there in the next couple of day be on the look out for a set of keys. Scuba Steve lost his somewhere out there. Well, I can't think of a better place for a disc golf course unless they let you take over the golf course. Good luck with the lay out.

That was actually Ben that lost his keys. He decided to spend the night in his car and look for them this morning. I hope he's ok because there were some pretty sketchy looking people driving around and I thought I heard a banjo strumming as we were leaving.

I thought the temporary layout was pretty fun. Interesting holes. Holes 5, 8, & 9 were huge. I 3'd the crazy water dogleg hole, so they can all be parred. Holes 1 &11 were fairly long too, leaving the other 6 as duecable (hole 8 is a tough bird). If we played this layout again, I'd expect some under par scores.

My favorites were 1, 9, 10, 11. Lots of chances to roll was nice. Pretty much the only shot on holes 1 & 5. Gotta keep at least some version of some of these holes. I'm curious as to how to fill in 7 more holes.

As much as I liked what you guys have done so far, I think we should try to play Lizard's layout if we can round up enough baskets. I saw a large arial (sp.?) map that he had made with tees and pins marked on it. He had 6 alternate tees and 18 alternate pins. He didn't use any of the frequently flooded land on the north side of the north road, so I'm very curious how the course can be so long and yet fit in these constraints. He also showed me some other available land just to the NW of the main park area. This could be another short 9 holes or if the walk isn't too far, this could be used to give extra distance to the course.

After playing what Lizard has already figured out, some suggestions could be made. I think you'd have a good layout if you got enough input from the right people.

I know where you can borrow about 9 baskets. Let me know when you are going to come and get them. I am done hauling them, setting them out, and picking them back up, and unloading them.

I do need to thank some people for their help last night.

Smoothdraw for collecting the $$$
Shan and Monster D for setting out baskets
Shan, Monster D, Larry and Jon Holmes for Picking everything up.

Lizard,
How many disc golfers currently reside in Wellington? I bet it would be a pretty small club at this point.
