Re: Colwich

Three days and a total of 100 man hours. Hole 11 has started to take shape. The first half of the fairway is mostly done. Another 100 hours and we could have 11 and 12 installed. Sounds like a lot but isn't when lots of people share in it.

Re: Wichita Indoor Putting League Night #5

What a great time. To think we can gather with our friends, in a warm environment in the winter and do what we love. Can life get any better!

Re: Little River Food Drive Feb. 1

This sounds like a blast. Boss isn't home to ask what she has planned but I will finally try to make it to LR. If I do, I will bring chilli. And I will let you know later if I can come.

Re: Colwich

First of all, it is not too muddy to drive in. Because of the issues with the wind, we started our Saturday working on hole 14. It had never really been completed. It is now pretty close to done. Some major changes on this hole making it a bit easier. 52 man hours of work today. The surprising part ...

Re: Camp Hiawatha Course

East of 53rd & Meridian. When you reach the river there will be a sign. turn south. enter park and continue to swimming pool parking lot. That is hole 4. Or take 135 to 53rd exit and go west until you cross the Little Arkansas. There are stripes (red and yellow) on the baskets directing you to t...

#5. All winners of their divisions?
Some of the options requires someone to keep track of points. A job a regional rep should do?

Re: Colwich

My friend that takes the logs for firewood when we do the clean-up is in need of firewood and we as golfers are in need of completing some more course. So next weekend, both Sat and Sunday, we will be working on holes 11 and 12. We will be working on the north end near 53rd street. My guess is that ...

Re: Colwich

One would think that since I am now retired, I would be working on the goal of completing Colwich this winter. However, I have been doing a lot of work on the home course; long over due trimming and taking out dead trees from the two year drought. I am not quite finished with that project and probab...

Re: WSU object course

Sure would like to find out more info about this. I just received one of these as a gift and plan to frame it. Not only is it a piece of early history; it is a true piece of art. When did this get published? By whom? Any other info about it?

Re: Colwich

Holes 1-6 and 13-18 are playable. Hope to get 7-12 done this next winter. And they just mowed so a good time to go play.

Re: KDSSF Scholarship Tourney @ Tick Ranch

The weather threatened but 13 players braved the cold and semi-miserable conditions. The hard part was getting a grip on the wet disc and moving in the extra clothing. The morning round saw sleet and ice pellets and snow. The afternoon round was mostly precipitation free. By the time it started rain...

Tick Ranch

This Saturday is the Tick Ranch. Same entry fees as last year. But there is a new wrinkle this year. We have put in another set of tees. Some of them are real short so this should be a birdie fest in the afternoon. Come have fun at the Rockin JP.

Tick Ranch

This Saturday is the Tick Ranch; 5 miles south of Andover and Kellogg on Butler Road, 4 miles east on 150th (47th in Sedgwick County) and 5/8th south on a gravel road to the entrance. To change things up a little, we plan on using a set of short tees in the afternoon to find out who can up and putt....

Re: KDSSF Scholarship Tourney @ Tick Ranch

I finally got with Jeff to hammer out the details. We currently have two tees on every hole. We plan to play the normal holes in the morning and short tees in the afternoon providing it is dry or more mulch is spread between now and then. Fees will be $40 for Open and Advanced. (All the entry fees i...
