The forum

Post by smitty »

What up all?

Just taking a few minutes to tell you what is going on.

1) I have deleted many topics that could be offend viewers.

2) I am going to try to cut down on the profanity on the forum. Please try to watch what you type. Some words don't bother me. Others we have to try to do away with. You know the ones. I also think that we are going to have to avoid the use of this as a replacement F%^#ing.

If we are going to have people visiting our site, from towns that read it in the news paper to future sponsors, we need to watch what we do.

I am just a guilty as anyone else, don't get me wrong.

3) I also deleted many posts that I viewed as not needed. Funny thing, most of them were started by some dude named Smitty????

4) Kyle has been working on some new things for us to use. One of which is a Chat room. It should be live in the near future. This will be a good place for us to get on, and talk smack and screw around. The best part is that it will not leave history. When it is over, it is over! You cann't come back 4 days later and see a bunch of junk!

This should help to clean up the forum.

Remember, Iqbal still has his forum up and running at cheapfrisbees. I am sure that he isn't going to edit anything, so we can still go there and do the "FUN" stuff.

Smitty
I don't blame you Smitty, it was fun while it lasted. I believe a live chat would be most productive as the main reason the forums have become so raunchy is that a lot of times it is being used as a chat instead of a forum.

I'm promoting the website to a lot of people with this PR campaign, so this is a good idea. I know rules can be cumbersome, but impressions can last a lifetime. How many hits are we averaging now days?

As you may have noticed the Forum has changed a bit. Hopefully the changes will help things stay on-topic a little better.

One addition is a chat room that can be used by all registered Forum users. There is a link to the Chat Room on the menu at the top right of the Forum page. The chat room works best with Internet Explorer. Firefox browser seems to work ok also. Be sure to turn off your pop-up blocker if you have it enabled.

You may now also choose from a couple different colors and styles for the look of your forum. Just login and go to your profile, scroll down, and choose a style from the drop-down area. *A chat link may not be available on all the styles.

Enjoy!
