Nope... they started a curfew at Thomas Park this year. No one in the park after midnight. The city expanded the curfew to include all city parks due to vandalism problems.

Not sure if camping is allowed at Indian Rock. You can camp at Thomas Park. If you don't mind company.
The closest legal camping is probably KOA which isn't much further then Thomas. Another option might be Camp Webster. It's just off I-70 and Ohio. It would be dorm style accommodations. I'm guessing the cost would be $10-$15 a night per person. Use to be $10 years ago. Plenty of room for everyone and a pretty nice set up for the price. They even have a disc golf course on campus! The big problem with this option is it is a church camp. NO BOOZE! NO TOBACO! If anyone's interested I'll get more information.

I think the KOA would be ideal for anyone wanting to camp. It is easy to get to, and less then 10 minutes from Indian Rock.

Do people ever camp at Lakewood? It may be as simple as a phone call to the Parks and Recs to get clearance for the weekend of the Rock.

My guess there's just as much chance getting conditional use permits for Indian Rock as there is Lakewood. There's probably a better chance of getting an OK for Thomas. KOA probably has the best facility (like shower's) with least amount of hassle.

Austin & I went over to the Rock last week and did some trimming on holes 1, 2, & 17. It's a little difficult to use the pull-saw while your standing on a 60 degree incline, especially when all the trees have thorns. Probably won't be the last time that The Rock draws blood from me.

Oh, by the way... Austin found something that you might be interested in, Smitty.

Pulled it from the mud in front of the basket on #1. Notice where it says INNOVA CHAMPION DISCS on the right side of this picture?

We think it might be a Gator. We threw it across the pond about 7 or 8 times but neither of us could throw it in the water. So, we decided to just hold it for ransom. You can negotiate a price with Austin on Friday. But, if you don't play The Rock it's going back into the water for another 10-15 years... your decision.

WOW!

That thing has been gone for a long time. It probably is a Gator. Someone should be throwing it for sure.

I'm starting to hear some Thunder out in central KS. Sounds like someone is getting ready to make it rain this weekend! Or at least have a great time. Looking forward to seeing all you guys and shocking the world. Have you ever seen me jump putt?

Not sure it is in good enough condition for collecting. It is suprisingly flat (and stable) for being in a pond for a number of years. But, there are lighter marks on the bead where someone fixed a bad scuff. The joy of DX plastic.

Do you need a day pass or anything of that nature to camp at KOA?
