OZ Tour 2008

Post by smitty »

Here is a list of the super tour events for 08.

Colwich March 8th
Tick Ranch March 29
Discs Unlimited April 6
GBO April 26-27
Doo Dah May 31-June 1
Beloit July 19-20
Hays September 13-14
Hutch October 4
Shunga Nunga October 18-19

That is 9 dates.

Still need a date for the following:
The Rock ???
Ellis ?November the day before the finals we hope.
Wellington? Was in July last year, can be moved with no problem.
Lawrence
Pratt ?Any weekend in
---May 3 week after GBO
---May 10 day before moms day
---May 17 NT in Tulsa, that would/should take all the Kansas PDGA players
---May 24 Week before Doo Dah
Great Bend? Probably needs to follow Pratt but doesn't have to.

If anyone wants to run a KDGA event.

1-The dates above are all saved.
2-You must be a KDGA member to host a KDGA tourney.
3-We ask for $2.00/head and half the Ace fund if you don't have one at the tourney.
4-This year we may have 2 events on the same day. I want everyone to have as many events in their backyard as possible. I will contact both TDs. If they can agree both events will happen.
5-PM, Call, or e-mail me if you want on the tour.

Smitty,

I see that labor day is on Sept. 1st this year which would make the Frontier on the 6th and 7th instead of the 13th and 14th, right?

Thanks,

You are the man with the master plan. I will change it on my post. Nothing has been sent into the PDGA yet.

The Wakarusa MusicFest and the KCWO are June 5-8 & 7-8 respectively, thus sharing the same weekend......again. :?

On a sad note, Bucky's, the iconic burger~joint and "Home of the Buckaroo" - located just East of Centennial DGC/Park near 9th and Iowa - has closed for good. RIP Bucky's

Lets not jump the gun too fast. I called the PDGA to change dates and never heard back from David Gentry.......I got the impression from Karolyn that since the Super Tour events are scheduled so far in advance that they might not like the idea of moving it. I hope to know more tomorrow.

I am giving these guys until the end of the week. If they don't have a date, they may just lose the Super Tour Status. We can not really let the rest of the state wait on them much longer.
