No.

Red tees at Herman Hill, Oak Park, and Colwich are long on the odd numbered holes and short on the even holes. Opposite for blue.

Most everywhere else in the world, red tees are designed for intermediate level paly (850 rated) and blue are for advanced (950 rated).

The blues are my favorite at all 3 courses. Both longer and shorter holes.

Thursday is scheduled for blue tees.

We want to tee off at 6:00 straight up. We had someone show up at 6:10pm tonight and it caused problems with getting everyone started.

There will be a board meeting after league at Neighbor's bar and restuarant at 21st & Amidon.

I had fun tonight throwing cali two shots for every hole it was like how I play when I go out and practice . I do wonder why the cali person doesnt also get the handi cap. if two intermiediates that have a ten handicape each got paired up they would both get a -3 handicap for a total of -6. they would also get to throw each shot. that would be a total of 3 or 4 shots for each birdy 5 or 6 shots for each par. 7-8 for each bogy So my question is this why woulnt the full cali player get the same amount of shot and the same handicap. Heck my partner sucked just as bad as I did tonight cause it was me. Even if I would have gotten ful cali and My full -6 handicap I would have only had a -2. that wasn't even good enough to have placed in the win. By the way I under stood it you have to have an 11 handicap to even get -3 if you play full cali? I just think a person that has a high handicap like mine shouldn't be doomed from the get go like that. I think we should change our cali rules.
Also why have we not been pairing up pros with AMs? we used to and a bunch of the Ams have wonderd why its changed? sure we like to play together as partners but then why cant we also have our pay out and proes pair up and have thiers. other wise we would rather pair up with proes and learn from our partners. At least i know I would. I like watching the pros and I alway hope i may learn techniques from them. I can alway use a reminder on how to throw thumers and rollers scoobies. flicks. and putting . watching some one who really knows what they are doing seems to be the best way to do that for most of us.

Wow. I'll try to explain how cali works.

It is an advantage for a good pro to have cali. They don't have to take plus strokes, they can fix bad shots, and they get double pay, as does everyone who plays cali.

For an am, it isn't as much of an advantage. Thats why with players who have a handicap of 7 or higher, we give them 3 strokes (and they get to play cali). For ams with a handicap of 11 or higher, we give them 3 strokes plus full cali.

The reason we don't often do pro-am is because we don't have even numbers. If we had done it last night, we would have had to move people up or force an am to play cali (instead of it being a random draw).

We could make a more complicated way of selecting teams by making sure a pro gets the cali every time.

It`s a myth that Cali is an advantage. You lose 1 to 2 shots per hole.[up to 3 on a true par 4].Back in the days when common sense prevailed, cali`s were allowed 2 drives and 2 putts.Pro Cali`s don`t cash as often as Pro-Am partners.Course records reflect this[check your records Hopper].

Go throw your Roc on the Corn Hole.

And Friz, I said Good Pros. When you consider they get paid double, they would only have to cash half as often or better for it to be a better deal.

also I don't think any thing was answered. can we change our cali rules to make it more fair. Like friz said you acually lose throws and are at a dis advantage with cali. and or could we just go back to playing Pro Am doubles We have enough good advanced ams that could fill in as pros. better yet how about figuring up a rank for every one like the Pdga rating system and put the best or hiest ranked pro with the worst or lowest ranked am together and the second with the second lowest and so on. when we mach up we all have a number and just match us up that way . heck any thing will work better than the way we have been doing it Two crappy Am players dont add up to One good round.lol
