Well,

I never made it. My mom called me at 2:30am on Monday morning to let me know my grandmother had passed away. We've been prepared for this awhile so it wasn't a suprise, just a little untimely. We're hunting for tickets in KC. It will be redemption city.

BTW, in my opinion, the defense played okay. It was the offense that seemed to be missing. Larry Johnson's fumble gave the Donkeys an easy 7 points. Parker dropped about 4 passes and Trent was under throwing the ball too often.

Thanks guys. It was my grandmother who lived in Abeline, and like I said we've been prepared for it. It's almost more of a relief knowing she went peacefully and that my father was with her. It took 30 years for me to see it, but I actually saw my father cry.

"As the sun rises,
a new life begins.
As the sun sets,
another will end."

"Shell." GRYN. Capital Punishment; 1995.

PS. I drove from Hays to Ft. Worth and back to Abeline in 18 hours!

Sorry about your Grandmother, Brett. One of mine passed away when I was about 8. My Grandad re-married and my new Grandma was a great gal! They both died when I was in college. Sometimes I think of her when I eat Christmas cookies! I never really knew my other grandmother. She lived in Boston and I only got to see her a couple of times.

Even when you are prepared, it is still a loss.

I disagree about the Chiefs. They have one huge flaw on defense! They totally over pursue, which gave Denver some big gains. When they learn not to bite so hard on the fake, watch out!

Yea Right :!: :!: The Broncos dominated them on everyside of the ball. If the defense was playing good Bret, then I can't wait for the second beat down in KC  Denver defense looked like tops in the NFL, after there week 1 let down in Miami. Don you really think the D is gonna get better :?: Denver exposed them ( Run it down there throats, and then put them away with the play action, and bootleg pass plays) Phili is gonna look at that game video, McNabb and T.O. are gonna shred that K.C. secondary :!: Good Luck winning 5 or 6 more games this year......Denver is gonna run away with the afc west

Another dominating performance in Jacksonville. 3 interceptions with out Champ....Did ya peep the rookie that took his place? 2 Picks with Champ cheering him down the sideline. Plus they held them to 12 yards rushing in the whole game.....I think the road to the superbowl is gonna go through Denver......( But it is only the 5th week  )
