With the new child and everything i know it would be hard to come out and play golf, but emporia needs robert out on the course, especially since eric is out of town, so the same person isn't winning all the time, NATE MARTIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! but robert come play the DD

fyi.....Jeremy won singles a couple times while Eric was gone and when only three of us show up, we have done a loose handicap to even the odds.

I appreciate the compliment, but if I was out there and Nate and I won ALL the time, you'd just post a topic called....

KEVIN BABBIT

We miss you, come take all our money while Eric is out of town. It's no fun having Nate and Hammer take our money ALL the time.

But anyway, I'll see what I can do. Hopefully I'll be in town Sunday to play the DDO...

And you're playing Advanced in your home tourney? LMGDMFAO! Didn't you win last year too? This thread should be renamed Baggersmith.

Do you want my autograph?

Jay,

Why do "disc-golfers" (this may or may NOT pertain to YOU) think the Advanced division is not the top Amateur division? If you can't fathom even an idea of beating me in a round of golf, then YOU are playing in the wrong division. I've played 72 holes of golf in the past 8 months, and 0 practice rounds. All 72 holes were in the past 2 weeks too.

I won't bore you with the details, but according to the PDGA website, you've played in 81 sanctioned tourneys compared to my 26. If I took the game as serious as you, I'd be playing pro. Why are YOU still playing advanced???

It's no secret;
FACT - I'll NEVER register with the PDGA as a professional
FACT - I'm playing in the Top Amateur division
FACT - People like you make me stop enjoying the game, stop promoting the game, stop GIVING (time, discs, rides to tourneys) on behalf of the game.

When I can quit my job and make MILLIONS of dollars playing disc golf; I'll consider it. Until then, I guess my goal is to be the highest rated player at a tournament, and still play advanced...

Hammer has the right to play in whatever division he wants to. He DID win the GBO last year, and who knows, maybe he'll win it again this year..I DO know he probably hasn't got to play as much golf as he's wanted, having a Kid in all....The point is, Hammer is a good guy and as long as he's not wining Advanced by 900 strokes, I have no problem with it..!

Just messin' with ya Hammer. Sorry I rubbed ya the wrong way.

nice research! And interesting perspective. I see your outlook. Why I don't play pro? Damn, that's a tough one. Mostly, I guess my game has plateaued for numerous reasons that are all basically just excuses for not practicing enough to take it to the next level. I'm sure that if I can manage to play the golf I'm capable of, we'll be playing together Sunday and perhaps we can discuss it further. Mostly, I'm probably not much different than you, other than I've been lucky, yes lucky, enough to squeeze in a few more tourneys in the past.

Things change in life though, we have families and priorities change, different things become more important in life at different times. I think that's why I'm so excited to be coming to your tournament this weekend. I'm playing in less events this year and, I've never been to GBO, like several of the same old, same old events I've hit in the last 7 years or so.

Jay,

It's cool then...I'm just tired of being the topic of "move up" conversations. I'm not that quality of a player and if people think so I'd rather see a compliment than than the typical bagger comments. If the PDGA makes another amateur division higher than advanced then I'll move to it. Until then, if I'm the man to beat in Advanced then so be it.
For me, I'm just trying to keep up with Bren, Adam Mosh., and D Widener. They are the guys to look out for...See ya Saturday, Sorry I'm so touchy on the subject...How I feel. 8)

I know I'm a month behind on this one, but you have every right to be touchy on this. I understand your position and feel bad that every tourney you go to, and I do mean EVERY tourney, you get sh@* about it. I agree you have every right to play in any division your rating qualifies for. Since there is no cap on adv. do what you want. Further, most that are labeling you bagger are just upset that someone who plays twice a year can kick someones a** that plays every day. Pretty funny if you ask me! Hope to see you at a tourney soon...

Thanks for adding your thoughts. I hope to play another tourney soon. The first thing I did after the GBO was throw my bag back on the shelf in the garage, and it hasn't seen sunlight since...See ya on the lead card! 8)

My pro debut was April 21-22, 2004, Salina, KS...The "Rock"

Convers kicked total butt, blowing the field away; and I tied some guy named Chris Smith for 2nd place. Lost the playoff for the 2nd Place 16oz trophey glass, but got the 3rd place trophey down in the basement. I threw the Epic to lose the 2nd hole.

Also: Jon Cunningham, myself, and Al Wilson caught Jazzy "pencil whippin" on our card.

Sorry you missed my debut Jay :( My cash earnings (all non-PDGA events) for my career are a little over $900. My best finish was a tie at Beloit in 2006 with Al Wilson for 1st and I lost the playoff :( I actually beat that Chris Smith guy that tourney....

Now quit stalking me Jay. It's kind of creepy
