I stayed in Topeka a couple of weekends ago. I saw the weather on the news and the radar said Google instead of Topeka. The people I was staying with said that Google was doing a some sort of study or experiment on what people searched for using a group of people in Topeka as the test subjects. I'm kinda fuzzy on the details. This has got to be temporary because Google's name has gotten so big that it's used as slang for searching the internet... Google it.

Google is planning on doing a rollout to some select cities for ultra high speed broadband internet. Topeka has put their name in and is fighting pretty hard to be the place for the test.

Changing the name... trying to flatter Google or something...

It was a contest the google .. Or is it topeka . aw crap now even i'm confused..lol it was a contest that google had and citys all around the united states partook in. they would send in videos of them singing song they would write about google or about how their city should be called google. it was like a whole bunch of stupid People videos. they showed a bunch of them on the news last week. . You can also see some of them on Utube or even Google videos. . There are also other town that have changed their names to incorprate Google in the name. Yes all of this is to get higher speed internet in their citys . If you don't believe me Topeka it ! ! !. LOL
